The Sunday Post is a new meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer that offers an opportunity to recap the past week, showcase what's coming up on your blog, and share what books you got for the week.
Sorry everyone! I know I've been MIA for half the week. It was an insanely busy week at work – I didn't even turn on my computer for two days! Not that I'm complaining, because it was really exciting, but I just want to apologize for not planning better and having posts ready to go. I'll be back to normal now!
So this week I'll mostly be putting up all the reviews that I didn't do last week, along with (hopefully) another discussion post. I don't have much new this week, since I didn't have a lot of time to read and spent most of it re-reading books, but this week I'm planning to read Tricked by Kevin Hearne and Struck by Jennifer Bosworth to start with, so you'll see reviews for those soon too.
Yesterday, my library had a book sale, which is pretty much the best event ever. Fifty cent books! I ended up with a whole stack for under $10, which made me very happy at the end of a long week. I got
Dragons in the Waters by Madeleine L'Engle
An Acceptable Time by Madeleine L'Engle
The Arm of the Starfish by Madeleine L'Engle
A House Like a Lotus by Madeleine L'Engle
Many Waters by Madeleine L'Engle
Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb
The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb
The Dark Lord of Derkholm by Diana Wynne Jones
The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel
The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley
1984 by George Orwell
Daggerspell by Katherine Kerr
The Ship Who Sang by Anne McCaffrey
I also got X-Men and Braveheart on DVD because they're both awesome. And I picked up a few NetGalley books:
Tricked by Kevin Hearne
The Lost Colony and The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer
Coveted by Shawntelle Madison

Kate you've got some awesome looking books. I've always wanted to read Robin Hobb's books!

The only one I've heard of is 1984. I've wanted to read it, but haven't had time. Hope you enjoy all your books! My Sunday Post
ReplyDeleteI love X-Men! Haven't seen Braveheart yet, but I want to! And have you read 1984 before? I have it, but I haven't read it yet. Although, I did read parts in high-school. Let me know what you think about it! Looks like you had a very productive and fun week!
ReplyDeleteI really like your netgalley books!!
