Top Ten Spring TBR Books

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted weekly by the lovely ladies at The Broke and The Bookish.

Today is officially the first day of spring, so this week's top ten spring TBR books is highly appropriate! I think there are actually more books that I want to read coming out this summer, but I've definitely seen quite a few interesting titles for spring.

Once again, I don't rank things well, so they're alphabetical by author.

New Releases

Kelley Armstrong
Darkness Rising #2
Expected publication April 10

I loved The Gathering and am anxiously awaiting The Calling. Maya is a great narrator, Kelley Armstrong has created a world with depth, and there will (presumably) be Cabal shenanigans! I am excited.

Kevin Hearne
Iron Druid #4
Expected publication April 24

Iron Druid is freaking hilarious. I love Atticus, and I love Oberon even more. This is just such an amazing series and I can't wait for more.

Gemma Malley
Killables #1
Expected publication March 29

I actually hadn't heard of this one until my friend got her hands on a copy (because apparently it was released earlier in the Netherlands? It was weird. I'm slightly jealous). She's been raving about how spectacular it is ever since, so now I really want to read it!

Richelle Mead
Bloodlines #2
Expected publication June 12

I always enjoy Richelle Mead's writing, and Bloodlines was no exception. I'm quite interested to see how the series continues in The Golden Lily!

Veronica Roth
Divergent #2
Expected publication May 1

I am sure you do not need an explanation for this one!

Rachel Vincent
Unbound #2
Expected publication June 1

I absolutely loved Blood Bound, especially the shadowy world of magical organized crime. I've heard a few whispers that Shadow Bound is even better, and I'm waiting in agony to get my hands on it.

Topping Mount TBR
i.e. Books I own (or borrowed from the library) and just haven't gotten to read yet

Peter V. Brett
Demon Cycle #1

I've been meaning to read this book for a really long time. It's been compared to The Name of the Wind, which was one of the best books I've ever read. I finally got a copy, and it's just been sitting on my Kindle, waiting for my attention. I must get to it soon!

Rachel Caine
Morganville Vampires #11

I love the Morganville Vampires series, and I'm finally almost caught up! I just need to finish Last Breath before Black Dawn comes out (also this spring).

Rae Carson
Fire and Thorns #1

This book finally arrived from the library, and as soon as I finish my other library books that are due Thursday, I'm starting it. I have heard so many wonderful things, and I'm really excited to read it!

Mark Lawrence
The Broken Empire #1

Another book I've been meaning to read for a while. I really haven't been reading enough epic fantasy lately, and I'm hoping to remedy that...as soon as I finish with my review books. And library books. But it will happen!

What are you planning on reading this spring?

  14. Gosh, I want Tricked so badly, I preordered it months ago! It was slightly ridiculous. Who preorders books 6 months before the release date? :D
Last Breath won't disappoint you, I promise. It might even be my favorite of the series. :)

  15. Ooh, I can't wait for The Calling and The Golden Lily. I completely spaced those books when I created my list. And I just finished Last Breath yesterday, and it was good! Great list!

Mmmm, The Calling. Kelley Armstrong is one of my all time favorite writers, whether it's her YA books or her PNR!

I love your comments! I try to respond to them...eventually!

This is now an award-free blog. I love and totally appreciate that you thought of me, but I know myself better than to think I would be organized enough to pass them along, and that doesn't seem fair.
